Donations without a specific program designation beyond Willoughby Farm will be utilized for projects as they arise at the farm.
Funds donated specifically to the farmhouse restoration will be used to restore the1930s Craftsman style farmhouse to it full glory as well as establish some sustainability practices to increase its efficiency and use.
Willoughby Farm offers myriad programs throughout the season. Donations to the programs will go towards existing programs and the development of new programming for the community. Current programs include field trips, archery, basic horse care, and urban ecology. New programs targeting Green Job Training will help foster the relationship between people and the land.
Willoughby Farm is dedicated to the betterment of the land it occupies. The conservation reserve and trails offer opportunities to explore nature and experience best practices in the conservation of Illinois prairie. Work on the 30-acre conservation reserve and trails is never complete. Whether it’s the abatement of invasive species or planting trees, funding for such work is always appreciated.
